I was at Women 2.0 Startup Weekend in SF this past weekend (08/28 - 08/31), and I was apart of the development of Flockpile.org, coming soon. The old saying "Birds of a feather flock together" was our inspiration. Use the Flock Finder tool to easily find local faith based groups, places of worship and events that are of interest to you. Essentially we make it easy to find your flock. We hope to accompany the site with an iPhone and Android application, so that users can browse the site right from their palm. The goal of the site is for it to be community driven, so we are offering incentives to the different establishments to build their profiles on the site with photos, time schedules, and events. We will also allow site visitors to leave reviews. It will be a powerfull mix between google business search and yelp.

There were a number of other startups that arised out of the foggy mornings of San Francisco this past weekend.

Ultimate Hire, “Your flat fee staffing partner. Ideal candidate. Easy, predictable, cheaper.”

HalfWrit, “HalfWrit.com is a social writing site for fiction writers who want to grow creatively through sharing and shaping short stories. Small peer circles provide framing for creative problems, moderation of content and quality, constructive feedback on work.”

and the crowd favorite Escape My Date, “In a sticky social situation? Use escape my date to get out of it!”,
