We are at Siggraph 2009 in new orleans, and in the meantime stopped by Launchpadnola for a look at their co-working space. Turns out Louisiana has quite a few tax incentives for multimedia and technology companies that operate out of Louisiana.

I want to thank Chris Schultz over at Launchpad for welcoming me over there for the week while I was in town for Siggraph 2009. It was great to see the tech community in New Orleans on the rise. A city where I started my career as a developer straight from high school (Hahnville High) to work. In a program that was appropriatley called school-to-career.

I also had the privelege of checking out Net2NO a tech community group based out of New Orleans. I attended their first annual "netty awards".
